Our Campaign Story
ends 31 Jul 2016, 11:59 PMHi everyone, I am attempting to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world, on 6th July. I'm doing this in support of Singapore's Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF).
This is an endeavour that will take 7 days and 6 nights, where I will be trekking 37 miles and hopefully summit the peak of Mt Kilimanjaro at 19,341 feet above sea level at a temperature ranging between -7 to -29 degrees Celsius. This is a huge personal challenge for me as it is almost 50% higher than any mountain I've summited before and will require tremendous physical endurance and mental strength. As some of you may know, I've been training hard the last few months, and will be putting in all my best efforts, with all my heart.
However, all my efforts here pale in comparison to the brave children, supported by CCF, who keep fighting and overcoming their own challenges day after day. Their ever smiling faces and indomitable courage will inspire me to successfully complete this challenge.
Please help me make my summit of Mt Kilimanjaro a meaningful one by supporting the CCF and helping children with cancer and their families. Any sum donated to the CCF fund will be greatly appreciated. As much as I will need your prayers and well wishes in my summit challenge, so much more will the children need your support and help to inspire and spur them on, as they fight the courageous fight of their lives.
