Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Aug 2020, 11:59 PM

A couple of months ago, I had decided to shave all the hair off my head in solidarity with families battling with cancer. I hope that my sharing inspires you to reconsider what is essential in life and moves you to help.

It has been my father's birthday ritual to shave his head to raise funds for the Children's Cancer Foundation. Last year, my mother joined him too. They are my inspiration. As they celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary, it is a beautiful opportunity to do my part for their cause.

Cancer does not discriminate - neither by age, nationality, nor social status. It creeps in silently, without warning or reason. We can remain strong and vigilant together.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and compassion. 100% of the gross donations will be donated to Children's Cancer Foundation to aid children and their families affected by cancer.

Here are 3 things I have learnt from going bald:
1. People notice, and it's a great conversation-starter!
2. My dignity and worth as a person is beyond how I look.
3. Few things are essential in life. Health is, but not hair.

I am thankful that I and my immediate family enjoy good health. Yet there are many families in our community with children battling cancer, who need our kindness and support.

Thank you again for your contribution towards the Children's Cancer Foundation! Follow my journey: @k.for.kinder
