About Campaign

The KDF Millennium Ride (MRide) is an annual cross-border, long-distance charity cycling event in aid of low-income patients who require kidney dialysis in Singapore. The ride is organised by the Foundation, with support from key figures in the local cycling community.

Due to the pandemic since 2020, we were not able to proceed with this cross-border event fully. MRide adopted a local, round-island format due to pandemic-related restrictions. Up to 70 volunteer cyclists clocked a collective round-island distance of 400km in Singapore, raising close to SGD $220,000 in 2020.

With the regional borders reopened this year, we are pleased to share that together with the support of like-minded cyclists from different local cycling clubs, MRide 2022 will revert to its cross-border format and up to 60 volunteer cyclists will be cycling from Penang to Singapore. The ride is slated to happen from 26 October to 1 November 2022.

About The Charity

The Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF) is an independent non-profit organisation which provides subsidised dialysis treatment to needy members of the community.

We support those whose income falls into the lowest 10% income bracket in Singapore, ensuring that this vulnerable group of patients will not be deprived of treatment as a result of their financial situation.

We currently run four haemodialysis centres at Admiralty Link, Bishan, Chinatown and Ghim Moh, serving about 340 patients annually. At least $4 million is needed yearly to continue KDF's life-saving mission.

All donations to KDF will be eligible for tax deduction as we are a IPC registered charity.

*Impact statements listed above are for illustrative purposes only. All donations received through this page will be channelled into the KDF general fund, which covers patients' dialysis treatment, public education, research and other operating expenses.
