Our Campaign Storyends 27 May 2021, 11:59 PM
As we are all aware India is undergoing a massive crisis due to COVID19. Hospitals are overflowing, there is a lack of immediate medical supplies and daily cases and death rates have reached an alarming level. They require help in any way possible.
The Singapore Red Cross Society is raising funds actively to support this cause.
As we are blessed to be here, it is hard to stand by and watch this devastating scenario unfold. In our own little way, we would like to take this opportunity to see how we can help to raise some funds to support the Singapore Red Cross Society's fundraiser.
If you feel like you would like to help, every dollar counts. Please help us to share this around.
Let's pray for a better tomorrow for the world.
(Note: Donations to overseas efforts are not tax-deductible. If you'd like to also make a donation to help our seniors and low-income families in Singapore and receive 250% tax exemption, we invite you to do so here: https://s.giving.sg/vsB2G6y)
Updates as of 12 May 2021: Since the launch of its public appeal on 28 April, the Singapore Red Cross has received over S$3.2 million in donations.
The first tranche of aid, worth about SGD 3.6 million, includes medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, and ventilators to directly support patients and healthcare workers in hospitals.

SRC is fundraising to deliver assistance and support communities in India, affected or at risk of being affected by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
Medical equipment and supplies, such as ventilators, oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators, are urgently needed. In the first instance, we have purchased and will deliver five ventilators to community hospitals in New Delhi through the Indian Red Cross Society. As we raise more funds, we can provide more lifesaving medical resources.
'The needs are immense, and we look forward to working with more organisations to support the relief efforts in India. Our response plan will be adjusted based on ongoing developments, evolving needs and regular assessment of the situation,' said Mr Benjamin William.
