Our Campaign Story

ends 20 Aug 2019, 11:59 PM

In Dec 2018, I decided to join a group of friends for 'Racing the Planet - Gobi March (Mongolia)', a multi-stage ultramarathon, a self-supported event covering 250km across the dessert. (https://www.racingtheplanet.com/gobimarch)
This is not something in my bucket list but definitely will be a milestone in my life. Stepping out of my comfort zone, disciplining the body and mind to conquer what many think is 'insane'.

I have decided to create awareness and add a meaningful touch to this 'insane' feat, by raising funds for 'Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled'. The idea of giving back and making a difference to the world have always been something close to my heart. However, very often, this desire is easily and conveniently buried by 'busy-ness' in life.
Why Bishan? Reason is simple - I want to start making a difference in my community (aka neighbourhood).

Hence, I hope that friends and family will support me by doing your bit for this Home. The funds collected can be used to support the day-to-day needs like toiletries, nutrition and medical requirements.

With my most sincere appreciation, thank you for your kindness!

About The Charity

We are a Home with a heart for intellectually disabled adults which strives to enable our Residents and Day Activity Clients to live meaningful lives even as other people do. Your donation will help pay for their continued training, therapy and outdoor activities which they would need even more of as they age, and help them continue receiving the quality care they need. No matter how big or small your donation, they will all contribute to our residents' lives. For more information on what we do, we warmly invite you to view our website and facebook page.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
