Please help Singapore Cancer Society to raise funds so that they can help the patients who need their support. I just met Mr. Prabu Naidu (a survivor) volunteering to support his fellow ostomates on last Saturday (1st October 2022), and then I realized that we need to something to support these cancer patients as there are many patients who need assistance.
About The Charity
Established in 1964, Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) is a self-funded voluntary welfare organisation which provides patient care services to needy cancer patients through its welfare, hospice home care, cancer treatment subsidy and rehabilitation support programmes. In addition, the Society also provides free cancer screening services and promotes cancer awareness and prevention through its public education and community outreach programmes.
For the past 57 years, SCS has extended support to over a hundred thousand beneficiaries through various services and programmes. The impactful programmes continue to contribute in SCS' four key strategic thrusts:
- To reduce the incidence of cancer
- To increase survival rates
- To improve the quality of life of cancer patients and survivors
- To rally the community to take proactive action and join the fight against cancer
