Our Campaign Story

ends 25 Dec 2022, 11:59 PM

We are Elijah, 14, and Emma, 12. We are the elder two of four siblings in our family. This November, the two of us will embark on the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal for about 17 days.

This trek will challenge us and mark Emma's new beginning as she enters secondary school in 2023. The route stretches over 160-230km long. It will be very cold, with temperatures dropping below freezing at night. The biggest obstacle we will face is to climb to 5416m to cross the Thorong La.

What We Plan to Do
Growing up, we realised that every child should be given the opportunity to experience a good childhood and reach their full potential, regardless of their family situation or background.

This is why we hope to do something useful with this trek. We aim to raise at least $5,416 for a children's beneficiary. The target amount is equivalent to the highest point (5,416m) we will reach during our trek.

We Appreciate Your Support
We have chosen to raise funds for Children's Wishing Well (CWW), which aims to support children with their needs where there are no other government or financial assistance. CWW helps disadvantaged children to achieve what others get as a basic standard.

Your contribution will enable these children to grow and give back to the community. Together as a community, this will be our Christmas gift to them.

Thank you for believing in and supporting our cause!

About The Charity

Children's Wishing Well (CWW) is a registered charity and IPC founded in 2002. We have won the Charity Transparency Awards accorded by MCCY from 2019 to 2022.

We focus on supporting children and youth from low-income families, mainly through educational programmes and financial assistance. We reach out to over 1,000 beneficiaries each year via 2 full-service centres, 7 community sites, and collaborations with other charitable organisations. We depend solely on donations from private organisations and members of public to fund our services, while keeping all our programmes and services 100% free of charge for the children and families. We believe that by providing the children with educational support and more equal opportunities, they will be able to maximise their potential and get out of the poverty trap.

Cash donations above $50 are eligible for 250% tax deduction, if full name and NRIC/FIN/UEN number are provided. We will auto-file the tax deduction with Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) only if you provide your full name and NRIC/FIN number. We regret that we would not be able to process the IRAS auto-filing if you do not provide complete and accurate information. Please write to [email protected] if you wish to receive tax deduction receipt via email.
