Our Campaign Storyends 01 May 2018, 11:59 PM
As a finalist for Mrs. Singapore 2018, and a mother myself, it is my honor and privilege to be given this platform. The finalists of the pageant celebrated World Down Syndrome day 2018 in March together with the members of DSA and this left an imprint on my heart for the families, children and members of DSA. When one of the fathers told the story of a teen who was born premature with Down syndrome and was told by the doctors he would not last beyond a week and he did, and the love and attention that the Father showered on the boy to bring him up against all odds. DSA is a self-funding, non-profit voluntary welfare DSA is a self-funding, non-profit voluntary welfare organization with IPC (Institute of Public Character) status, which works closely and regularly with healthcare and educational professionals, and voluntary welfare organizations. http://www.downsyndrome-singapore.org/post/view/6/9

About The Charity
Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) is a self-funded, non-profit Voluntary Welfare Organisation. We are dependent on donations from the corporate community and members of the public to help us continue to improve the lives of persons with Down syndrome. We provide a range of programmes for babies, children and adults with Down syndrome. These range from educational programmes that impart life-skills and independence training to young adults with Down syndrome, integration support programmes for children with Down syndrome studying in mainstream schools, enrichment programmes such as dance, speech & drama and sports programmes that aim to enhance and develop specific skills in the participants. We also conduct family support group programmes for parents (with babies, children and mature adults). We thank you for your support of DSA in our efforts to educate, train and assist people with Down syndrome to become independent and contributing citizens of Singapore.
