Our Campaign Story

ends 20 Jan 2020, 11:59 PM

Poor Courtesy, one of our beloved strays, was involved in a hit-and-run accident recently. Luckily for him, he survived the accident but sustained severe injuries to his hind legs.

Due to his severely injured hind leg, the poor boy had to go for a hip surgery, where part of his thigh bone had to be permanently removed. Ultimately, the goal is to create a fake hip joint that will be more comfortable and offer Courtesy great mobility. Recovery is expected to take up to six weeks and we need your kind donations for his surgery, medication, rehabilitation and follow-up vet visits.

Despite his injuries, Courtesy remains very sweet and affectionate. A little fact about him: our volunteers named him Courtesy as he's a very polite boy, who used to walk our feeders back to their cars to send them off before going back to eat the kibbles that were left behind for him.

We can't bear to imagine what will happen to this polite boy if he lost mobility of his legs. Please help him walk again.

About The Charity

SOSD is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the welfare of Singapore's many street dogs.

Our mission is to eliminate cruelty to and abandonment of animals, enhancing their welfare, and improving the lives of animals and humans, through rescue, education and advocacy.

SOSD relies on the generosity of the public to support its shelters at Sungei Tengah and Jurong Island. Our expenses have gone up drastically with the increase in rental, hire of staff to run both shelters and implementation of the Trap-Neuter-Release- Management ("TNRM") programme.

You can make a difference. Your kind donation will help in providing shelter, food, medicine, veterinary care and love to the rescued dogs.

Your donation is eligible for 250% tax rebate. Kindly provide your name as per NRIC and your tax reference (NRIC/FIN).

Donations received in GivingSG will be pooled with other donations and be used to provide food, medicine, veterinary care and support for the dogs under SOSD's care. Donations may also be used to pay for other operational costs of SOSD's shelters, such as utilities, water, rental and transport costs and costs and expenses of its TNRM programme. This is inclusive of donations raised in all of SOSD's campaigns.
