Our Campaign Story

ends 28 Jun 2018, 11:59 PM

My name is Niresh and I am a fourth year medical student at the National University of Singapore. In April this year, I will be participating in a run called the Monster Ultra 200. The aim of this completely self-supported run is to complete 200km within 48 hours. Having never run more than 75km at one go, this will undoubtedly be a physical and mental challenge for me. In doing so, I hope to be able to raise funds for SoSD (Save our Street Dogs) - the shelter I adopted Alfie (my dog) from.

I hold this cause very close to my heart and I feel that this is the best way for me to make a monetary contribution. Any contribution, however small, will go a long way in helping a homeless dog find a loving home.

About SoSD
1. An organisation which aims to rescue and rehome as many dogs as possible with their limited resources whilst nursing injured and wounded dogs back to good health before finding them homes
2. SOSD is not funded by any government or private agencies
3. In the midst of constructing a new shelter so any contribution will go a long way
4. Their website is: https://sosd.org.sg/

How will the fund be used?

All donations to this campaign will be donated to Save our Street Dogs (SoSD).

About The Charity

SOSD is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the welfare of Singapore's many street dogs.

Our mission is to eliminate cruelty and abandonment of animals, enhancing their welfare, and improve the lives of animals and humans, through rescue, education and advocacy.

SOSD reply on the generosity of the public to support the shelter at Sungei Tengah and in Jurong Island. Our expenses have gone up drastically with the increase in rental, hire of staffs to run both shelters and the Trap-Neuter-Release programme.

You can make a difference. Your kind donation will help in providing shelter, medical, food and love to the rescued dogs.

Your donation is eligible for 250% tax rebate. Kindly provide your name as per NRIC and your tax reference (NRIC/FIN).
