Our Campaign Story
ends 21 Feb 2021, 11:59 PMSharing is Caring ... many of our low income families clients who have low vision (partial blindness) are not changing their prescription glasses due to cost. There are more than 4,000 clients at SAVH and the $6K target can possibly get 50 pairs of special glasses for the partial blindness for around 50 low income clients for 1 year in the year 2021, assuming $120 per pair or subsidy of up to $120 per client.
Would you join me to raise some funds so that the Low Vision Clinic at SAVH can help pay for them their presciption glasses (working with external like-minded optometrist & opticians who will charge cheaper) so that they can see a little more & hopefully their eye condition do not worsen? Please help, ok? Thanks a million on their behalf.
About The Charity
The Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH), formerly known as the Singapore Association for the Blind (SAB), is the national voluntary welfare organization that serves and provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to the visually impaired. SAVH serves Singapore citizens and permanent residents of all age groups who must be certified with low vision (partial sight) or blind by an eye specialist or ophthalmologist. This includes people who are born blind as well as those who have lost their vision through accidents, illnesses or ageing.
