Living with a chronic condition can be challenging for a child. In addition, there may be frequent hospital visits where the treatments and procedures can be frightening or painful. Parents, watching their child struggle physically and emotionally, can feel painful and helpless and, caring for a child with chronic illness can be draining - mentally, emotionally, physically as well as financially.
Club Rainbow (Singapore) provides a comprehensive range of services in empowering and enabling children with chronic illnesses and their families through five core aspects, namely emotional support, educational support, social support, financial assistance and informational support.
With your generous donation, chronically ill children and their families can receive free access to home & hospital counselling, befriender services, educational seminars and monthly food rations & essentials. The children can also attend tuition (at centre, hospital or home), therapy workshops, arts development and vocational development classes.
Although their days ahead may be fraught with challenges, your kind support can certainly make the journey a little more bearable and the load on their shoulders, a little less heavy.
Thank you so much for gifting chronically ill children and their families HOPE to fight on, and to achieve the best possible outcomes.
About The Charity
Club Rainbow (Singapore) was set up in 1992 to provide a range of comprehensive support services for the families of children who suffer from major chronic and potentially life threatening illnesses. By working closely with KKH, NUH and SGH, Club Rainbow presently helps more than 1000 children and their families.
Children in Club Rainbow range from newborn babies and youths up to the age of 20 years. They require frequent visits to hospitals for treatment, complicated therapy and long-term medication. On the recommendation of their respective doctors, these children are referred to Club Rainbow for follow up support.
