Our Campaign Story

ends 06 Aug 2020, 11:59 PM

This National Day, join Verztec to support The Food Bank Singapore. Through this campaign, we hope to help ensure that vulnerable communities continue receiving a reliable supply of food in this difficult time.

COVID-19 has adversely affected many charities and vulnerable groups within Singapore. Now, more than ever, is the time to step up and show that we care. By working together, we'll be able to help those who need it most.

Your kind donation will go towards enabling the Food Bank to continue operations and keep feeding those in need. This includes the purchase of non-perishables and food bundles that are necessary for emergency food assistance in this critical time.

There are those in Singapore who struggle to get their next meal. Let's stand by them and make a difference by helping out as much as we can.

About Campaign

With the current COVID-19 situation in Singapore, we have experienced a drastic drop in food donations.

As many may be stocking up food and sanitization supplies in our own homes, let's not forget those in need who may not be able to afford basic necessities including food.

Food Bank's operations need to continue to ensure our 360 beneficiary centres, with close to 200,000 beneficiaries are receiving food.

We seek your support in donating funds to allow us to purchase food bundles and deliver them to households requesting for emergency food assistance!

About The Charity

The Food Bank Singapore acquires donated food from farms, manufacturers, distributors, retail stores, consumers, and other sources, and makes it available to those in need through a network of member beneficiaries.

The Food Bank Singapore was set up by Nichol and Nicholas Ng, a pair of siblings running a food distribution business, FoodXervices Inc Pte Ltd. After observing the food industry for more than a decade, they realised the need for a food bank in Singapore. Founded in 2012, we were given charity status in 2012 and IPC status in 2015.

Our mission is TO END FOOD INSECURITY IN ALL FORMS in Singapore.

We now have a total of 360 member beneficiaries that includes:
Family Service Centres (FSCs)
Senior Activity Centres (SACs)
Various types of homes (Nursing Homes, Children's Homes, Halfway houses)
Soup kitchens
Other voluntary welfare organizations (VWOs) and registered charities
