Hello, I am Gladys.
Two years ago, I took up modern calligraphy as a hobby. After that, I started doing water-colour. I really enjoyed the process of making art and it had helped me through a difficult period of time.
This year, I took up a short course Exploring Art Therapy and it has opened up my perspectives of visual arts and psychotherapy. I benefited a lot through this course and I would like to give back to the society.
Therefore, I start this fund raising for The Red Pencil. I hope to raise funds to benefit more people with art therapy.
I will send you a hand-lettered calligraphy piece or a loose floral watercolour piece as a token of appreciation for your donation.

P.S The first two photos are what you could be receiving. The third photo is the collation the the art pieces done during my 8 lessons in Exploring Art Therapy. The fourth photo is what I have been trying to do since then - Art journaling. I cannot tell you how much Art has impacted my life and helped me through a short but very very difficult period of my life. I hope Art Therapy can continue to impact more people.

The Red Pencil is an international humanitarian organisation advocating the use of arts therapy (drawings, music and movement/dance) in its quest to help children and families who are caught in overwhelming life circumstances such as grief, loss, displacement, violence and uncertainty.
With the guidance of volunteering registered arts therapists, children and adults are able to express themselves in a different and meaningful way on what they have been through, on their emotions and on their expectations for the future. This helps them resolve issues, cope with their difficult situations, heal their psychological wounds, re-build their self-esteem and slowly grow into confident human beings again.
