ends 30 Sep 2020, 11:59 PM

The Food Bank Singapore & Blackout Agency team up for another round of good vibes and good music on the Blackout Brodcast II. For this edition, we've organised 3 days of House & Disco tunes, all mixed and recorded by of our local and expat DJs based here on the island!

Date: Sept 2, 3, 4
Time: 1200 - 1900

In these strange and trying Covid times, the entertainment industry has come to a complete halt and work has dried up for many of these DJs. With all that has been happening, it hasn't stopped them from wanting to share good music and spreading good vibes to everyone, so we would like to thank all the DJs for keeping us smiling with their music in these tough times!

All donations to the FoodBank will go directly into helping the team prepare for their new initiative, preparing "Food Bundles" instead of ready cooked meals for the needy. These food bundles will consist of mostly non perishable food items, allowing the families and workers to consume their items at a convenient time or save it for a rainy day.

All donors that provide their NRIC or UEN details will also be eligible for 250% tax deductions! Give more, get more and feel good when you feed the hungry!

About The Charity

The Food Bank Singapore acquires donated food from farms, manufacturers, distributors, retail stores, consumers, and other sources, and makes it available to those in need through a network of member beneficiaries.

The Food Bank Singapore was set up by Nichol and Nicholas Ng, a pair of siblings running a food distribution business, FoodXervices Inc Pte Ltd. After observing the food industry for more than a decade, they realised the need for a food bank in Singapore. Founded in 2012, we were given charity status in 2012 and IPC status in 2015.

Our mission is TO END FOOD INSECURITY IN ALL FORMS in Singapore.

We now have a total of 360 member beneficiaries that includes:
Family Service Centres (FSCs)
Senior Activity Centres (SACs)
Various types of homes (Nursing Homes, Children's Homes, Halfway houses)
Soup kitchens
Other voluntary welfare organizations (VWOs) and registered charities
