Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Dec 2022, 11:59 PM

The Bank Card Programme was developed by FBSG as a new vehicle for beneficiaries to receive food aid from our various feeding initiatives. Inline with the intent to improve the dignity of beneficiaries, the Bank Card was created with the aim of providing the freedom of choice and autonomy in food aid.

The Bank Card Programme is a smart wallet that is pre-loaded with credits every month. With the bank cards, beneficiaries can receive food from participating F&B outlets and Food Bank's Food Pantry at any time.

Each Bank Card has 100 virtual credits that are topped up automatically each month. Beneficiaries are able to redeem meals and food items from FBSG's two initiatives:

50 credits from Food Bank Vending Machines and 50 credits from Partnered F&B outlets under Feed The City Tap A Meal initiative.

Bank Cards can also be used to redeem food and daily essential items from FBSG's Food Pantry locations.

FBSG has been MediTech Media (APAC)'s nominated charity partner over the past 2 years. This year, we are happy to have our sister agencies Citigate Dewe Rogerson and Grayling join us in our cause toward #ZeroHunger.

About Campaign

Help us support 1000 households with a Bank card for a month. Tote Board will be providing the support of dollar-for-dollar matching for this campaign. This means that with your help should we raise a certain amount, Tote Board will double that amount for us! The impact of every dollar you donate will now be doubled.

Our beneficiaries can now use their Bank Cards (preloaded with $100 worth of credits per month), to purchase a prepared hot meal or use it for dry food items. Food Pantry 2.0: At the disposal of our beneficiaries - always there, always ready!

With just 100 SGD a month, we can offer the freedom of choice to each of our beneficiaries. The ability to choose groceries based on their household needs, cultures and preferences is given to them.

During food drives we often receive spoiled or open food items. Sieving out and disposing of expired products further escalates our costs.

When you donate to The Food Bank Singapore, you help to end food insecurity in Singapore and support beneficiaries. Thanks to our various industry partnerships, we are able to negotiate better prices and buy MORE food using your monetary donations.

Monetary donations also save us logistics costs such as admin work, transportation, warehouse space, volunteers and sort team (all of which are critical for food drives).
