Our Campaign Story

"I just need to convince one person I meet each day to do something good and that's change enough for me"

This was from a conversation I had with a friend a few years back and it's still something I deeply believe in. So when I saw the 7 year movement by DOT, I knew I wanted to contribute in someway. Particularly in a time where the COVID pandemic has disproportionately affected women, I could see the immense value in what DOT does. Cue signing up for a charity run with a few friends and it made me think, why not make this my 7 year movement? This is why I'm pledging to complete 188km by Dec15.

Unlike what most people think, running is not something that comes naturally to me or what I picked up out of interest. It actually stems from a lot of insecurity. So I'm hoping that by the end of this 188km, I can change this and support through this fundraiser other women fighting their own battles. Your help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

About Campaign

DOT is Turning 7!

In the twinkling of an eye, 7 years have passed us by. Even as our team has grown and our programmes have evolved, our core mission remains unchanged, to empower women and enable families through employment bridging and support.

A big part of that support actually comes from the community and that's why we want to build new communities as well as foster existing ones through these events.

As part of DOT's 7th Anniversary celebrations, we would like to invite 77 members of our community, as well as the general public, to set up fundraising campaigns on Giving.sg in conjunction with our event to raise awareness and also to celebrate the women and families who have overcome trying circumstances to reach where they are today!

About The Charity
