Support our fundraiser by donating to the Singapore Environment Council!

++++

Over the past 60 years, Eastern Pacific Shipping has grown to be one of Singapore's leading tonnage providers. Our growth is attributed to our people, our partners, and the communities where we operate. To show our gratitude, we have launched the EPS Care Initiative as a way to give back.

This year we have identified seven charities (six Singaporean and one international) that we want to support, including the Singapore Environment Council!

To provide these charities with the required funds to operate, we have organised a fundraiser that will see our sea and shore teams attempt to walk, run, or cycle 40,075 kilometres collectively! Why 40,075? This is roughly Earth's circumference, so together, we want to Walk, Run, or Cycle Around the World for Charity!

On December 11, 2020, EPS will donate S$6 for every kilometer walked, ran, or cycled by EPS employees until we reach 40,075km. This fundraiser has been approved by the Singapore Tote Board and qualifies for the dollar to dollar matching scheme under the SG Fortitude Budget for up to S$250,000 for the six Singapore-based charities. But we need your help! Companies and individuals looking to support our fundraiser are encouraged to use tis campaign to donate to Singapore Environment Council. Any amount is appreciated and will make a difference!

About The Charity

Established in 1995, the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) is an independently managed, non-profit and non-government organisation (NGO). We influence thinking on sustainability issues and coordinate environmental efforts in Singapore.

We are also an approved charity and offer tax exemption to donors. SEC continuously engages all sectors of the community by formulating and executing a range of holistic programmes, such as the Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards, Asian Environmental Journalism Awards, School Green Awards, Singapore Green Labelling Scheme, Project: Eco-Office, Project: Eco-Shop and Project: F&B. In addition, we build a pool of committed volunteers under our Earth Helpers programme.

Our Training & Education arm provides the people, public and private sectors with the opportunity to develop awareness, knowledge, skills and tools in order to protect and improve our environment for a sustainable future.

Strong partnerships with corporations, government agencies and other NGOs are valued by us. These partnerships are vital for sustaining our programmes, leading to positive action and change. Over the years, SEC has given strength and direction to the environmental movement in Singapore.
