I love this quote that I came across online as it felts so meaningful especially in Singapore. People might have different taste and like to eat different types of cuisine. We would often come together enjoy food together and spend meaningful time together.
As the Covid Situation improves, and we can meet up with our friends, colleagues , family for lunch , dinner , meet up to enjoy our favourite food.
Let us take some time to contribute back to society as well. This is my first time start a fundraising appeal. I chose Food from the heart as I remember it from school donation drives. Giving is not about making a donation, it is about making a difference. Sometimes the meaning and well thought might be lost when the items donated do not serve their recipients well. Fundraiser for Food for the Heart to best allocate the donations to make the tangible and meaningful impact.
Hence, I would like to encourage you to join me in this campaign to embrace the giving mindset. Let's make 1st April 2023 a memorable day for all.
About The Charity
Food from the Heart is a charity founded in February 2003 by Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer, who were inspired to channel surplus food from bakeries to families in need after they read an article about bread wastage.
Today, Food from the Heart is Singapore's foremost independent food charity with IPC status that makes a tangible and meaningful contribution to fighting hunger through bread rations and food packs. With the support of donors, food industry partners, and more than 20,000 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of more than 59,300 people throughout Singapore by distributing S$7.23 million worth of food in 2022.
