EFSS [email protected] Yuan is a fundraising drive organised by a group of secondary school students from Edgefield Secondary School. We like to provide aid to the vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and beneficiaries of Xin Yuan Community Care, a registered charity with IPC status.
After much research on various social issues, we found that poverty is the root of many people's problems, and we want to help take a stand against poverty, for a better and happier society. We hope you can support us with any donation, whether small or large, as it can already uplift someone's life!
Our group's fundraising drive is in support of the [email protected] Yuan Fundraising Campaign, which is approved campaign for dollar-for-dollar matching under the Tote Board Enhanced Fundraising Campaign. Your support will make a huge difference.
Thank you and have a great day!
About The Charity
Established in 2005, Xin Yuan Community Care (XYCC) is a registered charity and a full member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), with an Institution of Public Character (IPC) status.
Our charity is committed to providing regular healthcare and therapeutic services, basic necessities, financial assistance, social and enrichment activities, and other relevant services to over 200 needy seniors as well as academic support to around 50 underprivileged children from low-income families. Our beneficiaries are mostly from the Bishan-Toa Payoh area.
Our Day Activity and Wellness Centre conducts daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc programmes and services for the elderly. In 2021 amidst the current pandemic, total service availment and programme participation reached over 16,000 seniors.
We provide centre-based services such as regular health checks to our seniors, daily group exercise, physiotherapy/TCM services, meals/grocery distribution, and other support services. We also create the space and opportunity for our elderly to interact with each other and with volunteers from all walks of life, to keep them engaged and as a form of social and emotional support.
In addition, XYCC extends financial assistance to needy families, giving them monthly grocery supplies and subsidies, and empowering disadvantaged youths through academic, mentoring and enrichment programmes.
