Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Aug 2021, 11:59 PM

COVID -19 has changed the way we live, work, study and play. When workplaces, schools and playgrounds were closed, the streets were mostly empty except for frontliners, including food delivery riders who risk exposure to the coronavirus to allow us to fulfil our basic needs in a safe manner.

Paying tribute to these everyday heroes, Chin Hock photographs the spontaneous moments in a rider's daily life and compiled the photographs in a photobook titled "Drenched To Fill You Up". The book received a silver award under the book category (Non Professional) in the Moscow International Foto Award 2021.

Many food delivery riders are amongst those who lost their jobs due to the pandemic. It is even harder for families who might have members in ill-health and are financially challenged. Chin Hock understands that life can get challenging and every little help goes a long way. As such, he started this campaign in support of St Luke's hospital, a charity hospital where most patients are elderly. Join Chin Hock on his fundraising journey. All funds raised will be donated to the hospital's patient welfare fund.

Join Chin Hock on his fundraising journey. For every donation, he would thank you with a e-copy of his photobook* entitled "Drenched To Fill You Up".

*Copy of the e-photobook will be emailed after the campaign ends.

About The Charity

St Luke's Hospital, named after the patron saint of the medical profession, was the first hospital in Singapore dedicated to the elderly sick.

We have expanded our services beyond the elderly to enrich more lives. An Institution of a Public Character, we care for 2,300 inpatients and 3,500 outpatients each year, regardless of race, language or religion. As illnesses may be long and chronic, we care holistically for patients' physical, emotional and psychosocial well-being.

Impactful and innovative in transforming community care, we were the first recipient of the President's Award for Social Impact (2012), and the first community hospital to receive the National Healthcare Innovation and Productivity Medal (National University Hospital - St Luke's Hospital Integrated Care Path, 2016). We topped the Community Hospital Patient Experience Survey in 2018.
