Our Campaign Storyends 26 Aug 2021, 11:59 PM
A little confession: I did a 'doodle for a cause' campaign during Circuit Breaker 2020 to fundraise for Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH)! Back then I was undergoing a lot of stresses and doodling was a cathartic activity so I thought I could use my doodles to raise funds at the same time.
However, my mental health wasn't doing well so after a while, the request became more stressful than therapeutic. I took the "easy way out" by quitting and there were 2 doodle request that I did not manage to fulfill. These are the two drawings that I've posted for this campaign- A goldfish & a corgi.
To the two kind souls who has donated to my cause last year, I'm terribly sorry for quitting, and for the delay. I really hope you get to see this some day.
I'm not proud of what I've done and have since gotten help. I am doing much better now, so I thought I could try another fundraiser while attempting to also reach out.
For this fundraiser, please only donate at your own will after I've responded with a doodle & it's only fair this way.
I'm contactable at [email protected]
Thank you for your time & please be kind :,)
About The Charity
The roots of Ren Ci traced back to 1994 with the primary mission of providing affordable medical, nursing and rehabilitative care services for the community, living to its name of "compassion" and "benevolence". This is driven by the principle of serving all with loving kindness and compassion, regardless of background, race and religion.
Most of the long-staying residents in our nursing homes come from low income families, while some are destitute. Suffering from multiple chronic medical conditions, their long-term healthcare needs have been draining them financially. While majority of the patients are either wheelchair bound or bedridden, they still long to return to their loved ones someday.
