The power of many to change.

"With both of my parents being PwDs, I saw the heart-breaking bewilderment and agony of my dad as Dementia robbed him of his memories and life, the emotional and physical toll it inflicted on my family. I pray that we will find a cure for Dementia, as my mom is beginning her journey, fully aware of the Dementia evils to come.

Singapore has one of the fastest-ageing population, estimated 78,000 Persons with Dementia (PwD). 1 in 10 people aged 60 and above have Dementia, while 1 in 2 people aged 85 and above have Dementia. It is the only top 10 cause of death that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.

ADA is working towards a Dementia-inclusive society, with key services including Dementia daycare programmes and centres, caregiver support services and training. A PwD in the day care services costs $1,400 a month. ADA provides subsidies to those who cannot keep up with the heavy cost of care, enabling PwDs to maintain their independence and dignity.

With poor families, Dementia exacts a heavy financial toll on them due to its expensive costs. ADA can help them alleviate the costs of care. That is why ADA is the charity that is closest to my heart." -

About The Charity

Alzheimer's Disease Association (ADA) was formed in 1990 as a result of a growing concern for the needs of persons with dementia, their families and caregivers. Through our work, the Association hopes to reduce stigma by increasing awareness and understanding of dementia, enabling and involving persons with dementia to be integrated and accepted in the community and leading in the quality of dementia care services which support persons with dementia and their families.

As a non-profit organisation, ADA operates with limited resources. We cannot battle dementia alone. Here's how you can share in our mission and make a difference!

*Volunteer with us as individual or corporate- We welcome individuals or corporate organisations to join us in our cause and contribute towards raising the quality of life of persons with dementia and their caregivers.

*Donate Today- Proceeds will be used to help fund our programmes and services that will benefit our beneficiaries and their families.
