Our Campaign Storyends 30 Jun 2021, 11:59 PM
As I turn 38 tomorrow, I would like to continue my birthday tradition of giving. This year I would like to raise funds for Beyond Social Services, a charity organisation which my family's foundation has been supporting since 2017. I will be starting the campaign with a personal donation of $10,000 and hope to raise $30,000 for Beyond Social Services in this campaign (till 30 June 2021).
Beyond Social Services is a charity dedicated to helping children and youths from less privileged backgrounds break away from the poverty cycle. We provides guidance, care and resources that enable families and communities to keep their young people in school and out of trouble.
Fundraise to support two initiatives by Beyond Social Services concerning food security and education for youths:
1. LIFE (Learning is Fun and Exciting) Programme:
To ensure educational continuity during the Covid-19, the LIFE programme runs in 5 communities and engages about 400 children. Beyond Social Services need support for this programme so that children can continue to learn and grow with the demands of school.
2. Addressing Food Security:
We aim to provide basic essential food supplies to families at $80 a month for a period of 3 months. The $80 comprises $40 of grocery vouchers for fresh food and $40 worth of staples consisting of 5kg rice, oil, coffee, biscuits, instant noodles, fruits, eggs.
Hope to receive your generous support as we grow together as one team, one community. Thank you everyone.
About The Charity
Beyond serves disadvantaged young people and their families to move them beyond their problems. We want to develop young people who respect the law, value education and seek to become responsible persons.
Keeping young lives on track is about building a community where they can grow, contribute and believe that they are a part of. Beyond works to build inclusive communities where young people, local neighbourhoods, and wider society, can come together to share their gifts and cooperate on resolving their issues.
We value inter-organisational collaboration & will steadily expand by building networks of individuals and organisations that contribute towards our vision. We believe that our target group always benefits when more members of the community take an active interest in their well-being.
