I am delighted to be a board member of Daughters of Tomorrow (DOT) and will use this page to fundraise for this amazing charity.
DOT is a registered charity with IPC status in Singapore whose mission is to facilitate livelihood opportunities for underprivileged women, and support them in building financially independent and resilient families.
Over the last 5 years DOT has grown from strength to strength placing 140 women in work in 2018, with another 260 women in its job readiness pipeline receiving varied support and interventions.
This support included 180 events and workshops in 2018, DOT's confidence curriculum, IT and Financial Literacy Programs and support from 100 Befriender volunteers that understand each woman's needs on an intimate level and play a critical role in enabling successful job-matching outcomes.
DOT also advocates to address key barriers that prevent low-income women from entering the workforce through programs such as its Core & Stable Scheduling program, with 30 employer partners adopting more flexible shift patterns, and the community childminding program bringing the community together to support mothers with their childcare needs.
I am very proud to work with DOT and I hope that you will help us on our journey to empower women and enable families.
