Who we are: Together we stand hand in hand supporting India recover from deadly second wave of COVID, this is our small effort of pooling funds from Singaporeans - regardless of our nationality or languages we speak - to support relief efforts in India through Red Cross

Situation in India: India accounts to half of COVID-19 cases and 30% of deaths worldwide. The fatalities in India crossed 379,000 mark on 15-June-2021 and number of cases rose almost 70,000 to 29.6 million (Source: Reuters)

We all have seen the news, some of us know of family or friends in India and hear sad news of people passing away or fighting the merciless COVID, only the ones who are receiving medical support at the right time have high chance of recovery

SRC is fundraising to deliver assistance and support communities in India, affected or at risk of being affected by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

Medical equipment and supplies, such as ventilators, oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators, are urgently needed. In the first instance, we have purchased and will deliver five ventilators to community hospitals in New Delhi through the Indian Red Cross Society. As we raise more funds, we can provide more lifesaving medical resources.

'The needs are immense, and we look forward to working with more organisations to support the relief efforts in India. Our response plan will be adjusted based on ongoing developments, evolving needs and regular assessment of the situation,' said Mr Benjamin William.
