Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Jan 2021, 11:59 PM

Tanglin Trust School Class 9.3 students are keen to broaden their awareness of the less fortunate in Singapore. By supporting Boys' Town, the children hope to have the opportunity to learn more about children being supported by Boys' Towns' services.

To support the cause, 10 families of not more than 5 persons each family participated in Boys' Town Walk Run Cycle campaign with 10 individual events to raise fund for Boys' Town. The students and their parents will set their own challenges to walk, run, cycle or swim at a personally set distance goal. Each event was taken place in a parent-child setting in different location island wide from 12 Dec 2020 to 4 Jan 2021. The events were conducted in separate occasions and in compliance to the COVID-19 Safe Management Measures.

The 10 events were:
Event 1: Oscar Fourie Walks 50km & Cycles 120km
Event 2: Henry Anderson Runs 100km
Event 3: Anand Lapping Runs 50km and Swims 50km
Event 4: Maya Sopori Walks/Runs 100km

Boys' Town sincerely thanks the teens and their families for the effort and goodwill in supporting our charity work.

About The Charity

Boys' Town is a charity founded by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel in 1948. We first began as a residential care for war-torn orphans, imparting education and life skills to them. Over the years, we have expanded to provide a continuum of services and become a one-stop children and youth centre. Boys' Town's services now include residential, fostering, youth outreach, adventure therapy and clinical intervention.

Boys' Town serves both boys and girls, from infants to young adults. We help children and youth who come from disadvantaged and disengaged families who may have faced hardship resulting from difficult home situations, financial struggles, abandonment, and abuse. Each year, Boys' Town works with close to 2,000 children and youths.

With 73 years dedicated to the social mission, Boys' Town equips the children and youths in need with the skills they need to become socially integrated, responsible and contributing members of society.

All qualifying donations are eligible for 250% tax deduction (if applicable).
