Our Campaign Storyends 31 Mar 2020, 11:59 PM
In this season of giving, let us come together to make every moment matter for our patients.
With a belief in helping to fulfill our patients' wishes, our group of nurses, music therapist, palliative rehabilitation team and medical social workers came together to help Mdm Chaw, 71, an inpatient realise her dream of holding her own mini concert, when we found out that she wished to be able to continue singing for everyone.
During her first-ever solo concert at Dover Park Day Care, Mdm Chaw not only found joy in sharing her favourite music but also found more purpose in life. Of her favourite songs shared at the concert, Mdm Chaw specially recommends the song "Stand Up By Myself When I Fall", which has encouraged her during difficult times. The positivism and resiliency displayed by Mdm Chaw is truly an inspiration to all.
Join us in fulfilling the wishes of our patients. Your gift matters and it will go a long way in helping our patients live a meaningful life till the end.
About The Charity
Dover Park Hospice was founded in 1992 as a secular, nonprofit organisation to meet the growing need in Singapore for hospice care for terminally-ill patients. It is Singapore's first purpose-built hospice, designed to provide a serene environment close to nature.
Open to everyone regardless of age, race, religion or income level, Dover Park Hospice is dedicated to meeting the unique physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those who are nearing the end of life's journey. The goal is to enhance the living, comfort the dying and support the grieving with compassion and dignity.
To cover its operating expenditure which is estimated at $18.3 million per year, Dover Park Hospice relies a lot on fundraising activities and kind donations from generous well-wishers and corporations.
