Our Campaign Story

ends 12 Dec 2020, 11:59 PM

Hi everyone, my name is Theodore and with Christmas round the corner, I thought, what better way to celebrate it than to give the patients at HCA Hospice a season and reason to smile?

(How your support can make a difference?)
The "Christmas 2020: Smile with me" campaign aims to raise both money and awareness, for HCA Hospice as an organization and the good work they do.

In a nutshell, HCA provides comfort and support to about 3100 patients with life-limiting conditions at no charge, annually. My hope is that, with the help of your generosity, no matter how big or small, will help us reach the goal of raising $5000 to alleviate the cost borne from delivering these services.

(Other Initiatives)
On a separate, and independent note from the fundraising, I will be organising a Christmas party and a gifting session for the residences at HCA Hospice whereby we will be bringing in some of our local favourites like the "Signature Chewy Chocolate Chunk cookies" by SayGrace SG, amazing "Pandan Coconut Gula Melaka Cupcakes" from Edith Patisserie, and a dish we hold close to heart "Nasi Lemak" from The Coconut Club to put a smile on everyone's faces!

(What this means to me?)
This campaign was launched to encourage anyone of any age, but especially our youths, to start giving and supporting a cause to lift our society up together, and forward.

I would be heartened for you to join me in this journey and that you too would "Smile with Me" in doing so.

About The Charity

HCA Hospice Care (HCA) is Singapore's largest home hospice provider and has been a registered charity since 1989. The organisation provides comfort and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, nationality and financial status.

We understand the medical and psychological needs of patients, caregivers and their families. By managing our patients pain and other symptoms with specialised care and support, we enable them to spend their last days at home, in comfort and dignity, with their families and loved ones.

Additionally, we care for the caregivers by providing them with psychosocial support, practical training, and advice at all hours with our 24/7 hotline.

As all our services including home hospice service for adults are provided free-of-charge to all patients under our care, we rely on donations to support what we believe is a basic right: to die with dignity.

With your contribution and commitment to helping us, we are confident of achieving our goal to adding life to the days of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
