Our Campaign Storyends 31 Dec 2020, 11:59 PM
Happy birthday to all the Aug's babies out there!!
This fundraising campaign will be memorable for myself and more importantly to encourage the spirit of giving back to our society. It is definitely something we all should strive to incorporate into our life. By being an example : )
Currently St. John 's Home for the Elderly Persons is building a new 5 storey building so as to give their elderly a new shelter. And because they depend mainly from the public's donation for their work, I am appealing to the kind folks out there to come together and make this campaign a success. (note: as of June 2020, building fund is short of S$3.4 million to complete the Home)
Your contribution & funding will aid them greatly to rebuild a new shelter for the old folks and giving them a new lease of life come 2021.
Please contribute today & I thank you for being part of this campaign on behalf of all the grandpa & grandma = )

About The Charity
Established in Dec 1958, St. John's Home for Elderly Persons is a Sheltered Home for elderly persons who are ambulant and aged above 60.
Our Mission is to provide shelter and care to meet the physical and spiritual needs of elderly persons who have no home and no children or close relatives with adequate resources to care for them.
The Home is open to all regardless of race or creed.
We are not a government-subvented Home and depend largely on the public's generosity to enable us to continue our work as a Registered Charity.
Since the Home started operations in December 1958, we have been located at our present site at 69 Wan Tho Avenue. In 2015, the Government granted us a fresh 30-year lease on a reduced land area. Concurrently, we also entered into a three-plus-three year tenancy agreement on the land that we are currently occupying.
We are now building a new five-storey building on the 30-year lease land to maximise on the plot ratio of 1.4 prescribed for the land. When we move into the new building, we shall increase our licensed capacity to 150. Construction began in Nov 2018, with target completion in Mar 2021.
We appeal for your support of building a new Home, so our elderly residents will not be displaced. Please donate generously. Thank you.
The Home is a recipient of the President's Award for Philanthropy 2014, the Charity Transparency Award 2019, 2018, Community in Bloom Award 2018, 2016, 2014.
