Our Campaign Storyends 27 Jul 2021, 11:59 PM
Marine Stewards Singapore Ltd is a non profit organisation that aims to activate seasports enthusiasts and empower them as citizen scientists, to contribute to marine conservation. They believe that with the combined effort of the community, our ocean will regenerate, and marine life can thrive.
In partnership with the Garden City Fund, Marine Stewards Singapore seeks your support for the Plant-A-Coral, Seed-A-Reef programme.
Every $20,000 raised would enable a Reef Enhancement Unit (REU) to be installed. An application for a matching donation* (capped at $100K) has been made for this collaboration. If successful, we would be able to install more REUs together!
REUs are artificial structures placed in reef zones to enhance bare areas for marine organisms to grow and reef fish to seek refuge. Under the Plant-A-Coral, Seed-A-Reef programme, coral nubbins, which are small coral fragments, are attached to wall plugs and allowed to grow to suitable sizes before being transplanted to an REU.
Through this initiative, we hope to encourage the active participation of organisations and individuals in supporting habitat enhancement efforts of the Sisters' Island Marine Park.
Support us today, together we can make a difference!

About The Charity
Established by the National Parks Board (NParks) in 2002, Garden City Fund is managed independently as a charity, where 100% of donations raised go towards projects it supports. The charity hopes to cultivate a love for the environment, promote a sense of ownership, and encourage the community to play a part in preserving Singapore's legacy as a lush and vibrant City in Nature. Through partnerships with organisations and individuals, GCF provides a platform for the community to be involved and contribute towards conservation, research, outreach and education initiatives.
