In partnership with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2019 presents Build a Dream - a collective effort to support the less fortunate and contribute to their personal growth.
This festive season, let's dream big with these inspiring individuals.
Young Surya, 'big brother' to his peers at AWWA Special Student Care Centre (SSCC) aspires to be a police officer when he grows up. For two years now, Surya has been the centre's beacon of light. He tirelessly seizes every opportunity to participate in the myriad of activities the centre organises.
Ranging from art and craft to music and outdoor activities, Surya is always the first to volunteer with the brightest of smiles and exhibits great leadership qualities in the process. Surya enjoys art sessions involving paint and craftwork. He also has an interest in playing simple songs on the guitar, xylophone and handbells. His warm and selfless personality is a blessing to peers in need of help and comfort. With the support of AWWA SSCC's nurturing environment, Surya's dream is closer than he thinks!
Help keep Surya's and many young wishes alive by making a festive donation today! Besides offering enriching programs to children with special needs, AWWA SSCC is also a platform that provides caregivers with temporary respite and the opportunity to be financially viable.
