Our Campaign Story

ends 04 Mar 2021, 11:59 PM

With a total of 400 reported cases in 2019, suicide remaining as the leading cause for death among youths aged 10 to 29 , we are often left thinking how could we have managed in discerning the distressed signs early and reached out to those struggling in silence, timely. More so, how can we be more unabashed and involved in doing our part to break the chain of this stigmatised shackle?

The campaign will run on Giving.sg from 19 Feb to 5 March.

The goal is to raise $5000.

For every $1 donated via giving.sg, the trainers at PushPullGive will complete 1 push-up or pull-up.

Between 5th to 7th March, our fitness challenge will be held in PushPullGive gym and we would like to invite members and anyone out there to join us.

Donors are welcome to participate during the above dates

Registration for the fitness will be posted on our PushPullGive social media IG and Facebook

100% gross donations will be donated in support of SOS's mission to be an available lifeline to anyone in crisis

Regardless the amount, your contribution can save lives and break the cycle by raising awareness and being engaged to help others navigate through their own healing journeys.

About The Charity

On average in Singapore, more than 400 lives were lost to suicide annually from 2014 to 2019: that's about 1-2 suicides every day.

According to the WHO, for every suicide death, more than 20 others would have attempted it.

Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) is the only suicide prevention centre in Singapore. We are a secular non-profit organisation which provides 24-hour confidential emotional support to people thinking about suicide, affected by suicide, or who have difficulty coping during a crisis. We take a holistic approach to suicide work with an emphasis on suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.
