Our Campaign Story

ends 30 Apr 2020, 11:59 PM

Each year in Singapore, more than 100 children are newly diagnosed with a critical illness. Together, we can help make a positive impact on their lives.

Since 2002, Make-A-Wish Singapore has granted more than 1,500 life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. These wishes give the children a positive psychological boost as they undergo their treatment and recovery. Studies show that children who have their wish granted recover better and have fewer hospital readmissions. This campaign aims to raise funds to adopt a wish for a child with a critical illness.

I will also be sharing what takes place during a wish journey. Follow me to find out more: www.facebook.com/neil.dyason.9

About the Wish

'I wish to star in my own music video!'
This wish is for a bubbly 9-year-old boy recovering from a malignant tumour, who enjoys singing and grooving along to music. As part of his wish journey, he will attend dance and music lessons that will help him work on his mobility, as well as improve his skills as a budding star! The wish culminates with the premiere of his own music video, underlining his confidence gained in the process and the ability to achieve anything he aspires to.

About Neil

I am the CEO of Make-A-Wish Singapore. I started this campaign in a personal capacity as I was inspired by the many wish children who, despite their medical condition, have raised funds to pay it forward so that more children can experience the power of a wish.

About The Charity

Make-A-Wish Foundation Singapore creates life-changing wishes for children between the ages of 3-18 years with critical illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
