Our Campaign Story
ends 10 Sep 2017, 11:59 PMAWWA is a fantastic charity, formed nearly 50 years ago by a group of volunteers who came together to support and care for traditionally underrepresented people in the community. Today, their service centers are staffed entirely by volunteers who support over 5000 clients including children with special needs, low income families, caregivers, the elderly and sufferers of dementia. The company for which I work in Singapore , HAYS has partnered with AWWA for some time and as a result we have been fortunate enough to see first-hand some of the fantastic work which their volunteers do each year. Of course, supporting such a large and diverse pool of disadvantaged people is not cheap and as well as the time given by volunteers, the charity needs funds to continue and enhance its services.
Over the next 12 months, I will be challenging myself to a series of increasingly difficult endurance events and will be asking for your kind sponsorship along the way.
First up is a sprint triathlon consisting of a 750m open water swim, an 18km cycle and finally a 5km run.
Anything you can afford to donate is received with thanks.
