Our Campaign Story

ends 10 Oct 2021, 11:59 PM

Hello! We are Team Wonder, a YMCA-YFC 2021 team from Temasek Junior College. Our name is inspired by the fact that our team likes to wonder: Wonder how to make a difference for others. We want to make a change in the lives of animals who suffer from cruelty, as we believe all living creatures are sentient beings. Every living being deserves compassion and empathy. Hence, we hope to create wonders for these animals, giving them the chance to live freely.

This year, we are working closely with ACRES to raise funds for the organisation's wildlife rescue and rehabilitation cause.

We aim to raise funds to support the causes of ACRES, where the money raised is used to purchase food for the residents of ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre and the native wildlife who were rescued and currently under rehabilitation prior to being released back into the wild. About The Charity

ACRES is a pioneering Singapore-based charity with a sole aim to advocate for an end to animal cruelty in our own backyard. With Singapore's first facility dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade and injured native wild animals we speak up for more animals via our five focus areas: Tackling Wildlife Crime in Singapore, Humane Education, Promoting Cruelty-Free Living, Community Outreach, and Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation.

Since our founding in May 2001, ACRES has helped effect several environmental shifts that pushed Singapore forward in the animal protection movement. Alongside collaborative efforts with governmental agencies, we seek to nurture a responsible society from grassroots level to the individual homes where animals are treated with compassion and respect.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
