Our Campaign Storyends 18 Sep 2016, 11:59 PM
Last year, I completed 50km at The North Face event in support of HCA Hospice Care. This year, I will take on 74km at Craze Ultra 2016 on 3 Sep. To be honest, I still wonder whether I am crazy to go for it!
But more than that, this run is also in support of and to raise funds for HCA Hospice Care. HCA Hospice Care takes care of about 70% of home hospice patients, making them Singapore's largest home hospice care service provider. Dedicated doctors, nurses, medical social workers and volunteers care for about 3,800 patients a year in their own homes. Since 1989, HCA has reached out to more than 60,000 patients. And the number continues to grow as Singaporeans become older.
It is indeed a privilege to be able to run and more so for a purpose beyond ourselves. Hence, I would like to do my part to run to raise awareness and funds for HCA Hospice Care, and to contribute in making a difference in the lives of the patients and their families.
This is a journey we are all on and I'd like to invite you to journey with me, together with the caregivers, patients and their families. I'm targeting to raise $15,000 for this meaningful cause and look forward to your generous support and encouragement.
Thanks for your support!

About The Charity
HCA Hospice Care (HCA) is Singapore's largest home hospice provider and has been a registered charity since 1989. The organisation provides comfort and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, nationality and financial status.
We understand the medical and psychological needs of patients, caregivers and their families. By managing our patients pain and other symptoms with specialised care and support, we enable them to spend their last days at home, in comfort and dignity, with their families and loved ones.
Additionally, we care for the caregivers by providing them with psychosocial support, practical training, and advice at all hours with our 24/7 hotline.
As all our services including home hospice service for adults are provided free-of-charge to all patients under our care, we rely on donations to support what we believe is a basic right: to die with dignity.
With your contribution and commitment to helping us, we are confident of achieving our goal to adding life to the days of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
