Our Campaign Storyends 31 Dec 2017, 11:59 PM
We, at Verztec Consulting Pte Ltd, are fundraising for Food from the Heart (FFTH)'s School Goodie Bag Programme.
There are children in Singapore who experience pangs of hunger every day and are unable to change their own situation. These children do not receive enough nutrition. As a result, they become susceptible to illness, have a harder time concentrating in school, and may eventually feel demoralised. The School Goodie Bag programme was created to provide relief to needy school children and their families in the form of food rations.
Students need have their basic needs met in order to start focusing on learning. While education itself may not alleviate their poverty in the short term, it imparts the knowledge they need to avoid poverty in adulthood. Get involved with the School Goodie Bag Programme to empower these students to go further.
It takes $660 to support a child and their family for a year, and funds from this campaign will go towards supporting 10 families.
FFTH is constantly seeking donations in order to continually support these needy children and their families; we hope that through this campaign, we can help create more awareness and bring hope to the needy children, both financially and psychologically.
Donate to this campaign. Share this campaign to your families and friends.
Or do both to aid FFTH in this meaningful journey.
About The Charity
Food from the Heart (FFTH) is a non-profit charity organization established in February 2003 after Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer read an article in The Sunday Times about bakeries discarding their unsold bread. Stirred, they then decided to channel surplus food from bakeries to those in need.
Food from the Heart has since evolved to become a resource bank, taking in non-perishable food items, toys and toiletries besides bread, whilst recycling and rechanneling whatever we can to good use.
As the need for services continue to grow, innovative programmes were added to not just alleviate hunger but also bring joy and hope, touching lives in every possible way. Visit www.foodheart.org to find out more.
