Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Dec 2017, 11:59 PM

We, at Verztec Consulting Pte Ltd, are fundraising for Food from the Heart (FFTH)'s School Goodie Bag Programme.

There are children in Singapore who experience pangs of hunger every day and are unable to change their own situation. These children do not receive enough nutrition. As a result, they become susceptible to illness, have a harder time concentrating in school, and may eventually feel demoralised. The School Goodie Bag programme was created to provide relief to needy school children and their families in the form of food rations.

Students need have their basic needs met in order to start focusing on learning. While education itself may not alleviate their poverty in the short term, it imparts the knowledge they need to avoid poverty in adulthood. Get involved with the School Goodie Bag Programme to empower these students to go further.

It takes $660 to support a child and their family for a year, and funds from this campaign will go towards supporting 10 families.

FFTH is constantly seeking donations in order to continually support these needy children and their families; we hope that through this campaign, we can help create more awareness and bring hope to the needy children, both financially and psychologically.

About NPO

Food from the Heart (FFTH) started with the Bread Distribution Programme in February 2003. Daily collection and distribution of unsold bread from bakeries and hotels with the help of 1,700 active volunteers on a daily basis. Every single month, we've collected and distributed an average amount of 28,000 kg of bread from over 115 bakeries and hotels island-wide and would deliver them directly to residents of 156 welfare homes, needy families and individuals, totalling about 15,000 beneficiaries per month.
We also support 10,912 needy individuals with monthly food rations (under the Self Collection Centres Programme and Food Goodie Bags Programme) which include rice, oil, canned food, biscuits and milk. These families are able to have 3 square meals every day, and their children do not have to go to school on empty stomachs. FFTH currently supports 34 Self Collection Centres and 28 schools for their food goodie bags.
FFTH also concurrently runs 2 additional programmes to serve the commun
