Our Campaign Storyends 31 Mar 2021, 11:59 PM
Stressful work environment, unsupportive social environment, and the burdens of expectations placed upon you every single day of your life, sometimes you might think, is there really someone out there for you?
In these tumultuous times, this may be something you are facing in your everyday lives right now, for we were definitely once victims to these emotions burdening our minds.
We have come up with two initiatives that will advocate for and provide tangible help for students to alleviate their mental troubles, namely our social media campaign Mind Your Mind as well as a Wellness Week Programme in Dunman High. Through extensive advocacy, professional tips, hosting workshops, talks and booths, we hope to through these events, raise sufficient awareness on mental health and through said publicity, to sell our merchandise to raise funds, for which 100% will all go to SAMH.
Thank you for the support, and we are extremely grateful for your kind donations
The unprecedented events of 2020 have drawn us even closer to the digitalised world and brought about a myriad of new challenges. While it has presented us a chance to reimagine how we can do things differently, there are some realities that continue to remain vulnerable, and many of which involve our youths of tomorrow.
Resilience and a sense of purpose safeguard our mental well-being. Being able to bounce back from adversity and having purpose in life are two essential life skills a youth can develop.
SAMH provides an integrative youth service that consist of psycho-social support, art and sports, counselling and therapy, and family psychoeducation programmes yearly to over 500 youths with or at risk of mental health issues.
Through these programmes, we help our youths develop self-confidence and self-esteem to increase resiliency and equip them with life skills to adapt and cope with the ever-changing world ahead.
We believe every youth deserves a safe place to learn and grow.
Support us in our journey in providing our future generations their chance to shine.
