Update: Looks 2 and 3 are up! My first time doing makeup for a bride(!!) and her cousin at her tea ceremony. Now that's a challenge!
Hi everyone! For #ICANPlay, I will be playing with makeup for 7 non-consecutive days and posting 7 looks. Playing is such a fundamental part of childhood yet we play less and less as we grow up. These days, makeup is play for me, because I can throw myself completely into creating and experimenting.
Please support me as I raise funds for important children and youth programmes like Lakeside Student Care, Reading Intervention Services, and The GRIT Project - A Children & Youth Centre.
These programmes are subsidised or free for children and youths from disadvantaged families so access to opportunities is not just reserved for the privileged. I think this is the way forward if we want to reduce social inequality and make things better for future generations.
Personally, I attended Lakeside Student Care as a child, so I can attest to the quality of the services provided. The services have also evolved over the years to meet the needs of young people. Most importantly, the staff and volunteers serve with a genuine heart and support children and youths wholeheartedly through the ups and downs of growing up.
If you are able, I hope you'll support #ICANPlay with any amount you are comfortable with. I'll also be updating this page with the rest of the looks. Thank you for your support!
Do you remember what your dreams were when you were a child? As children, our futures lie limitless in the horizon - and we all have dreams that we can do or be something great. Yet, life circumstances like financial difficulties and family issues mean many children and youths are disadvantaged from the start.
We named our fundraiser #ICAN____ to encourage all children and youths to fill in the blank with their dreams and aspirations and uncover their unique potential and talents.
One of our campaign ambassadors, Smitha will be embarking on her personal challenge:#ICANSparkImagination challenge. For 7 days, she will be unlocking the imagination of children at our Lakeside Student Care through teaching speech and drama and writing. Stay tuned as we share other upcoming challenges by our campaign Ambassadors!
#ICAN____ raises funds for Lakeside's children & youth services: Lakeside Student Care, Reading Intervention Services, The GRIT Project. With your support, we can provide meaningful opportunities, mentorship, and practical assistance for children and youths.
You can make a difference in their lives by donating and starting your own #ICAN____ challenge to raise funds! Together, we hope to raise $300,000 and any amount will be greatly appreciated.
