Hello everyone! Project Delicatus is a Youth For Causes (YFC) project that aims to shine light on the less-privileged from our partnering organisation, Food Bank Singapore, such as low income families who face food insecurity. Through raising funds through our various initiatives such as the virtual run and merchandise sales, we hope to allow more beneficiaries to receive food aid. Through raising awareness on the severity of food insecurity and food wastage in Singapore, we hope to empower everyone to play a part in tackling this phenomenon and making a difference to the community!
Any amount donated, be it $1 or $100, are all part of making a difference to the beneficiaries of the Food Bank and they are all equally appreciated!
For queries and updates on Project Delicatus, do head to our Instagram page @projectdelicatus to walk this journey along with us and support our initiatives! :)
About The Charity
Established in 2012, The Food Bank Singapore is Singapore's first food bank and aims to be the prevailing centralised coordinating organisation for all food donations in Singapore. Driven by its mission to eradicate food insecurity of all forms in Singapore by 2025, the registered charity bridges potential donors and member beneficiaries by collecting and redistributing donated food. Its members are registered charity organisations or special organisations with a designated meal programme for low income and underprivileged individuals and families. Through a network of more than 300 such organisations of all sizes, the food bank serves more than 100,000 families and over 300,000 people with all kinds of food: from fresh to cooked.
