Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Dec 2021, 11:59 PM

We are a group of Year 3 students from Edgefield Secondary School. As part of our Values-in-Action (VIA) project, we have conducted research on the issue of conservation and are interested in raising awareness of deforestation and bettering our community around us.

The Nature Society (Singapore) or NSS is a non-government, non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation, conservation, study and enjoyment of the natural heritage in Singapore, Malaysia and the surrounding region. As a team, we want to raise awareness on deforestation and pollution in Singapore as it is often an overlooked factor by many Singaporeans. Singapore is not a very big country and it may be shocking for some to find out that deforestation does affect quite a number of Singaporeans.

Deforestation results in the air being polluted through burning of forests which results in haze.

Hence we have decided to raise funds to fund more clean-up activities through the sales of merchandise and at the same time spreading the message of the harmful effects of deforestation. We hope to receive your utmost support for this initiative to raise awareness and funds for deforestation and pollution in Singapore.
