Our Campaign Story

My name is Trisha Thow. My passion is to live an active life with lots of positivity. As a profession, I work as an Agricultural Manager in the Testing, Inspection and Certification industry. I absolutely love animals and I have 2 adopted fur-babies, Ranger who is 7 years old and Spot is 4 years old.

Running is what I do a lot during my pastime. And for that reason, I would like to take this opportunity to run for a good cause, under the banner of Marie Choo's long-standing charity I RUN FOR RESCUE DOGS.

At a time of great difficulty and stress for so many during the current Covid crisis, we need to give more care to the animals. Therefore, I am doing this run as my part to create awareness and raise charity funds for the No-Kill dog shelters in Singapore.

Not everyone is aware of the existence of no-kill dog shelters and the plight of rescued dogs in Singapore. These rescues are strays and abandoned pet dogs. If we do not help them, these dogs may be caught and culled, or fall victim to road accidents, or worse, succumb to illnesses contributed by the lack of food and care.

At the not for profit, no-kill shelters, these rescued dogs are given a second chance to live with proper shelter, food and medical care. More importantly, they get to experience well-deserved compassion and love from mankind.

So please lend a hand and donate any amount. Every little bit of contribution is much appreciated. Love.

About The Charity

Oasis Second Chance Animal Shelter Ltd (OSCAS) is an animal welfare charity registered in 2014 and devoted to caring for a hundred rescued strays in Singapore. All of the dogs in the shelter were rescued from the streets or from being culled. Currently, a hundred Singapore Specials call the shelter their home before their right families come along.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
