Our Campaign Story
ends 31 Mar 2023, 11:59 PMHi guys, thanks for dropping by!
I was missing in (running) action for the past 6 months due to stress fractures in my lower left leg. It was devastating, I felt hopeless and miserable. I was recently cleared to resume running and thus have hopes for my running goals again. Hence I wanted to do something meaningful as a form of gratitude.
Being medically unwell, be it illness or injury, is really lonely, frustrating and helpless. On top of feeling pains and discomfort, there are a lot of things that one is unable to do. To add salt on the wound comes the hefty medical bills. That was a painful experience for my family, when I was a sick kid who had to be rushed in and out of A&E every few weeks. The first image shows me, on the left, being my normal self as a child. And on the right, me, ballooned, due to an allergic reaction to a medication.
Thankfully, I'm all well now. Please join me in helping the kids, #GiftThemHealth so they too can have hopes and dreams.
All funds raised through this campaign will go towards KKHHF General Fund, supporting needy patients, research and education. Annually, the KKHHF assist an average of over 400 women and children patients and their families in need of financial assistance for their medical expenses. Examples of medical expenses come in various forms, ranging from special diet for a premature baby to an oxygen re-fill for a patient suffering from chronic lung disease or muscular degenerating conditions.

About The Charity
Because every woman and child deserves good health...
"Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance." (United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
Here at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, we believe that every woman and child deserves good health. The KKH Health Fund (KKHHF) raises funds to help needy patients, who very often have exhausted all options and are in need of financial assistance, for their medical expenses. The fund also supports education, research and disease prevention programmes targeted at improving women's and children's health.
As KKHHF is totally dependent on donations, on behalf of the patients, we thank the generous donors who have literally saved lives by enabling the fund to continue with its work of giving financial support to needy patients.
You can be a part of this life-saving cause; we appeal to you for your kind and generous support*.
*All donations received are managed by SingHealth Fund (SHF), an Institution of a Public Character (UEN 201624016E).
