On 25th of February 2017, I'll turn 25.
Yet when I was just a few months shy of my 24th birthday, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer, and spent almost the year fighting hard for my life. During this time, what hit me the hardest was my inability to play sports nor exercise. Being diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer at the age of 23 meant that I had lots of questions, and close to zero answers.

With my 25th birthday right smack in the middle two runs in support of cancer research - Run for Hope (19 Feb 2017) and Terry Fox (26 Feb 2017) - I'm going to be celebrating life by running 10km in both races.
So here's what you can do / get me for my birthday - make a gift towards cancer research today (ie donate in support of my campaign). With your support, there is hope for a cancer-free future.
Your gift will help the National Cancer Centre Singapore in their pursuit to innovate and improve cancer treatment and diagnosis. Science can't provide me with answers now, but hopefully with continued research, it can provide someone else down the road with the answers they desire.
Established in 2005, the NCC Research Fund serves as the flagship fundraising and grant-making channel of National Cancer Centre of Singapore (NCCS) by providing seeding and bridging funds for an array of translational and clinical research programmes. With cancer research and care under one roof at the NCCS, the knowledge gained from patient-centric research fuels advancement in clinical care, which in turn provides bedside knowledge that drives further research. We firmly believe that todays research will pave the way for tomorrows cure for cancer.
Please note that in the event that the donations made for a specific purpose/project:
(i) Are less than the minimum $10,000 to support an existing project OR
(ii) Has no new applicable project after a 2-years waiting period, the NCC Research Fund Board of Trustees reserves the right to channel these donations to the Funds general pool in support of other worthy research projects.
