Our Campaign Story

ends 27 Apr 2018, 11:59 PM

Fifteen Singapore filmmakers are coming together for a film project to rediscover and tell a side of Singaporeans previously untold. We think of ourselves as practical, hardworking and driven, but we also have taken risks, dared to care beyond convenience and stood up for what we believed in.

The short films will feature stories from the 1970s-late 90s from the Singapore Archives, SPH, MediaCorp and national libraries to present in a diversity in styles, the everyday heroes who made us who we are today. Fifteen directors will range from the most acclaimed and experienced to very young filmmakers who show promise and potential because we believe all our voices matter. This is a community effort and we will tell our stories together to express our Singapore story.

Donations of cash, in-kind and skills are welcome. We invite you to be part of the story.

About The Charity

About Community Foundation of Singapore

The Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS) was founded in 2008 to encourage and enable philanthropy in Singapore. We glean the causes and offer ways for donors to maximise their giving impact through these charitable funds. With our deep understanding of local issues and evolving needs, CFS identifies gaps and opportunities in the community to foster more effective giving. We are the leader in donor-advised funds (DAFs) and our DAF payout rates outperformed the industry benchmark. We engage with over 400 charity partners to identify programmes that impact diverse communities. By enabling real and meaningful change, CFS hopes to inspire a philanthropic culture and build a more caring and cohesive society in Singapore. CFS is a registered charity with Institution of Public Character status.
