Our Campaign Story

ends 05 Nov 2022, 11:59 PM

I will be embarking on a 10,000 kettlebell swing challenge during the month of October and as part of this challenge I would like to try to raise funds for a local charitable foundation.

I have chosen to raise funds for the Singapore Cancer Society as so many of us have a family member or friend who has been touched by Cancer.

In order to achieve the 10,000 swing mark by October 31st, I will have to average 323 Kettlebell swings per day. This will increase when I factor in rest days during the course of the month.

I will be attempting this challenge using a 20kg Kettlebell.

Your support is greatly appreciated!

About The Charity

Established in 1964, Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) is a self-funded voluntary welfare organisation which provides patient care services to needy cancer patients through its welfare, hospice home care, cancer treatment subsidy and rehabilitation support programmes. In addition, the Society also provides free cancer screening services and promotes cancer awareness and prevention through its public education and community outreach programmes.

For the past 57 years, SCS has extended support to over a hundred thousand beneficiaries through various services and programmes. The impactful programmes continue to contribute in SCS' four key strategic thrusts:

- To reduce the incidence of cancer
- To increase survival rates
- To improve the quality of life of cancer patients and survivors
- To rally the community to take proactive action and join the fight against cancer
