About Campaignends 30 Sep 2021, 11:59 PM
A new home at Sin Ming Court, the Centre will house counselling rooms to provide 1-to-1 befriending support, a wig loan cum positive appearance room, a social space for get-together and bonding sessions, a Kitchenette to learn from wonderful chefs how to prepare healthy menus. We will have a contemporary fitness studio where our members can join Healing Through The Arts (HTTA) classes, such as yoga, pilates, piloxing in person or in the private space of their homes via zoom, a crafter's studio for creative members to paint, to learn to sew or to crochet as form of therapy. There will be a multi-purpose hall where breast cancer awareness and outreach talks will be conducted for the public to attend to understand the disease affecting women and possibly men in Singapore.
The new centre will be Singapore's very 1st Breast Cancer Centre and will open its door in the 3rd quarter of 2021, to the low income affected and the breast cancer community; as well as to all who want to find out more about our organization and what we do.
For every dollar you contribute to this campaign to build the Breast Cancer Centre, you are supporting the low income women affected by breast cancer, our breast cancer community & their caregivers and to give them a safe place to seek bonding, psycho-emotional and rehabilitative support.
About the Charity
Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) is a social service agency with an IPC status. Our mission is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. Set up in 1997, BCF is committed to raising awareness about breast cancer through talks, events and publications that advocate early detection through regular screening, as well as supporting survivors and their families through various befriending and training activities. As one of the few advocacy groups in the world with a Men's Support League that was integrated with Caregiver Support Group in year 2017, BCF aims to encourage greater male participation in society's fight against this affliction.
