Coping with breast cancer and its treatment can be difficult and the ability to stay mentally strong and healthy is crucial to recover and lead full, active lives.

At Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF), the BCF Paddlers in the Pink (PIP) Dragon Boat Programme is one that involves our breast cancer survivors, as well as the BCF men support group, training on land and at sea to improve their physical and mental well-being. These warriors pick up paddling through BCF and form Singapore's 1st Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat team, where they find strength being on the same boat, racing against the same disease. Women who have undergone breast cancer treatment may suffer from lymphedema (swelling of the arms) and studies have shown that dragon boating can decrease the amount of lymphedema or even prevent it, reduce scarring and rebuild body mass.

Join us in solidarity and support from June to September as we come together to raise funds to fight breast cancer.

About the Charity

Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) is a social service agency with an IPC status. Our mission is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. Set up in 1997, BCF is committed to raising awareness about breast cancer through talks, events and publications that advocate early detection through regular screening, as well as supporting survivors and their families through various befriending and training activities. As one of the few advocacy groups in the world with a Men's Support League that was integrated with Caregiver Support Group in year 2017, BCF aims to encourage greater male participation in society's fight against this affliction.
