About Campaignends 31 Dec 2020, 11:59 PM
A story to share is Ariel's, our residential boy. His father passed away and Ariel struggled with grief as they shared a very close relationship. He became addicted to online gaming and did not attend school for a few months.
When Ariel first joined Boys' Town (BT), he was quiet and guarded as he did not know what to expect in a residential home. He soon familiarized himself and joined various activities such as photography and drumming.
He realised that it was necessary for his mother to send him to BT. Our structured program changed him to instil discipline, independence and internal motivation to attend school. We also provided him art therapy for emotional support.
Together with his school, we monitored his progress and arranged weekly tuition. We are proud to share that Ariel did well and was one of the top foundation students for PSLE his school!
The great news is Ariel is now home with his family. During his stay in BT, Ariel has matured to become more confident. This is a happy ending for Ariel, and it is our wish that other children and youth in-need would also have the same.
Join us as a BT Changemaker to produce tremendous ripple effect in the young lives!

About the Charity
Boys' Town is a charity founded by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel in 1948. We first began as a residential care for war-torn orphans, imparting education and life skills to them. Over the years, we have expanded to provide a continuum of services and become a one-stop children and youth centre. Boys' Town's services now include residential, fostering, youth outreach, adventure therapy and clinical intervention.
Boys' Town serves both boys and girls, from infants to young adults. We help children and youth who come from disadvantaged and disengaged families who may have faced hardship resulting from difficult home situations, financial struggles, abandonment, and abuse. Each year, Boys' Town works with close to 2,000 children and youths.
With 72 years dedicated to the social mission, Boys' Town equips the children and youths in need with the skills they need to become socially integrated, responsible and contributing members of society.
